For my birthday, Hannah gave me a super cool gift. She surprised me with a sprouting jar! Sprouting? Well, I had never really considered it. But now, I’m excited about sprouts. Is it a chore? Yes. But, it’s also cool to grow your own food. Not that we can only subsist on sprouts and herbs, but I love having super healthy home-grown garnishes. Next up, mung beans!
Mung beans, ugh! I'm glad they have been working for you. I don't grow them non-stop. I take breaks. :) My problem is having a good place to drain them that's out of the way. I'd like to try other kinds of sprouts as well. I hope you enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteHmm...I would comment on your photos but it won't let me. Great pics! I love your sunshiny kitchen.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Bummer, you can't comment. I think it's because I was invited to 'Google Plus.' I asked for an invite from a friend because I couldn't comment on her photos. Then, I didn't think about it when I hooked up my photos to my new profile. D'oh! I just went in an changed a setting, so maybe you can comment now? I hope so! I definitely enjoy your feed back =) I ended up keeping my sprouts draining in a bowl on my kitchen cart.
ReplyDeleteCan I come live and eat with you?! Lol, just kidding ;) Your salad with the sprouts on top at the end looked divine!
